All requests for late arrival are subject to confirmation by the property.As Guesthouse,the staff are not present all day and it is necessary to arrange the check-in time in advance. The change of towels is every three days, if you want daily change there is a supplement and must be requested at check-in.Please inform in advance of your expected arrival time. The stay at Royal Suite was amazing. I would first like to point out that the staff is really responsive and go out of their way to accommodate you. We had a late flight, and they were kind enough to let us leave our luggage and take it when convenient for us. The room was really clean and had all the necessities you may need. The location is amazing, especially if you want to visit The Vatican. The museums are 2 mins away. There is also a bus that leaves you 1 min from the building from the centre. There are a lot of restaurants, bars,shops, and markets nearby, and the neighbourhood is very pleasant to walk around. I would totally recommend staying here if you want a smooth check-in and a pleasant stay.

More than a Hotel, the Royal Suite du Vatican provides serviced rooms. The bedrooms are well appointed, clean and comfortable. Some of the furniture is a bit old and worn, but the bed was comfortable, the air conditioning worked fine, and the bathroom was modern with good amenities. The rooms are up on the third floor of the building on a quiet street with a couple of coffee shops and restaurants. The street noise is normal city street noise that didn't bother us at all, and the bedrooms aren't super soundproofed so you might hear your neighbors. Having said that, we slept soundly and comfortably. The TV isn't a Smart TV so it doesn't have many channels, but we were able to connect our Chromecast to it. For toiletries you are provided with shampoo and shower gel in single-use sachets, but no conditioner nor tissues. There is a tiny fridge in the room with a kettle and a coffee-pod machine, and you are provided with 2 coffee pods daily. We purchased more at the local Carrefour express which is a short distance away! On that note, there are a few groceries near the motel which close at 10pm, plus many coffee shops and restaurants. The closest metro station is OTTAVIANO, but keep in mind there are no escalators nor elevators at the station, so you'll need to carry your bags up/down the stairs should you choose this option. Upon checking in, we were given by the cleaner a large bedroom with a queen bed as well as a Murphy-bed (this was unmade). Turns out this was a mistake by the cleaner as 2 ladies checked in shortly thereafter and apparently they thought they had booked for a bedroom with 2 separate beds. We had started to unpack, but had to put everything on hold while the cleaner conversed with the 2 new guests as perhaps we needed to switch room with them. In the end they opted for keeping the room they were given as switching to ours would've attracted an additional charge as the extra bed needed to be made.
