Breakfast was fine - good menu choices, staff always helpful. Room was nice, beds comfy - we both slept well. Trying to do the right thing by leaving the car at home may bot have been the wisest choice! (especially given the weather!)

The location is perfect for touring the Dales and further afield. The team here are superb, nothing is too much trouble, yet they are unobtrusive, so it feels very private. The rooms are very comfortable. I had a small double and, for a solo traveller, it was perfect. The breakfast room, set away from the bedrooms is light and airy and the food was delicious and piping hot. This wasn’t my first stay at this property and it won’t be my last

The English breakfast was really nice, with locally sourced produce. Best breakfast I've had in years. The lemon soaps and toiletries, again, locally sourced smelled lovely. Close enough to Ripon to nip out for a curry in the local restaurant (recommended by the hotel owners).
