Great location, a short walk to all key attractions and convenient for bus from airport. Large room and comfortable bed. Plentiful breakfast. Whilst an ideal location for us the hotel was on a busy corner with trams and traffic. Didn't affect our sleep at all but light sleepers might want to request rooms on the interior rather than exterior.

We loved everything about the Metropole! We had booked for 3 nights, but added on another night's stay We stayed in the historic Room 510. A suite where a famous opera singer used to stay in the early 20th Century. The suite's decor was cosily dark, with warm touches of red. Modern appliances including a coffee maker, fridge, two flat-screen TVs, and a large walk-in shower. Great WiFi. The suite is on the 5th floor, with great views of the surrounding area. Extremely good breakfasts, with a large choice of hot and cold foods and drinks. Brilliant location, as the hotel is on the edge of the Old Town, and is a 5mins walk from the Bus and Railway Stations. The number 22 bus stop for Riga Airport is just around the corner. The huge Central Market is across the road, accessed by the subway walk. We had beautiful walks in the nearby park, following the canal to the Art Nouveau District. We will be returning!

A very spacious, nicely decorated and comfortable room, and the hotel is very well located to major sights, restaurants etc. Our only small complaint was that it was not possible to get food after our late arrival. Still, a nearby kebab shop met the need.
