This was a last minute quick stop on our Italian road trip for a place to sleep and was great. We arrived late and the night porter sorted us out very quickly which we appreciated as we were very tired. The room although basic was surprisingly nice, clean and neat with a little balcony. Not Breakfast was very tasty and set us on our way nicely. We appreciated the car parking too. We were only there for less than 12 hours but it was exactly what we needed!

We had a great stay at Hotel Cormoran. All the hotel staff were absolutely lovely and attentive. Our room with balcony was standard, but air conditioning helped with the heatwave Italy experiencing at time of our holiday. Our room, corridors, dining room and reception areas were spotlessly clean - the housekeeping staff work their socks off! Breakfast had a good choice of hot and cold food and two lovely staff helping to serve guests - bread, croissants, salami, cheese slices, cooked ham, tons of fruit and nuts, toasted sandwiches, scrambled egg, bacon and bratwurst sausage. Drinks wise - selection of waters and juice, different milks (cows, almond, coconut) and great coffee machine. A little bar too to grab a coffee and bottled water (selection of alcoholic drinks too). The hotel is a short walk from the beach and beach bar/restaurants - mainly selling piadine (Italian flatbread - filled with prosciutto, cheese, rocket etc - delicious!), spiadine (skewered fried breaded prawns/squid - again just delicious) pasta, pizzas, etc. and near to local clothes/souvenir/ice cream shops. Just to mention, the beaches in Riccione and along the Adriatic Coast charge around 30 to 33 euros for two ‘lettine’ beach beds and umbrella per day - usually a tiny bit cheaper if you pay for a few days. There are a couple of spots where you can just plonk your towel down but check where! The hotel is near to the bus stop to go either to Rimini (Rome by the seaside!) or Cattolica. The ‘centre’ of Riccione along Viale Dante which comes alive at night is about a mile (1.6 km) and again the bus is handy to hop on if too hot to walk! All in all a really lovely place. We are lucky enough to have family in Riccione to spend time with and the hotel was a really convenient spot for us. Thank you 🙏
