I had a fantastic experience staying at Colonia Inn in Quito—so much so that I booked it twice! The first time, I stayed for three nights in a lovely private room that was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed. After traveling around Ecuador, I returned to Quito and chose Colonia Inn again. To my surprise and delight, they gave me an even bigger room this time, which I really appreciated. What makes this place truly special is the people. Everyone working there is incredibly friendly, warm, and genuinely helpful. You can feel that they care about their guests and want you to have a good experience. It felt like coming home each time I returned. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Quito! Thank you so much 💕🙏😊

The staff were excellent here, giving us good advice about exploring the city and they helped us out with an electric heater when we found the room a bit cold. The room was mostly clean and the bed comfortable, but due to it being an old building there were big gaps in the windows which meant the room was very cold. The breakfast was very basic, we found better options nearby and still affordable. The location felt safe, and there were a lot of really nice little cafes and restaurants nearby! Wifi also worked well.

Colonial House Inn has a beautiful garden that we spent a lot of time in, friendly staff and volunteers, amazing and cheap breakfast and a great guest kitchen area (there were 2!). We enjoyed our stay and kept returning whenever in Quito (3 different times) as it was a safe and quiet area, each time the staff remembered us and asked how our trips in between stays were.
