The location was excellent with a fantastic view of the mountains behind and within easy walking distance of the Shotover river. There are a few shops including a convenience store and restaurant / cafe about 15 to 20 minutes walk away on the estate. It is a location that really requires a car to get around, we had hired a car in anticipation and as part of our plans to travel around the area. There are lots of cycle paths and walking trails within easy reach of the property. The must sees locally are the Remarkables and Coronet Peak as well as Lake Wakatipu. Queenstown is a buzzing hub of day and nightlife and is well served with all manner of eateries, gift shops and bars. The area is an excellent base for wider travel around the South Island.
