The location was really good next to the castle. The owner Rocio had grown up in the building and had recently renovated it into 3 apartments, one on each floor. There was a small roof terrace to be shared with all 3 apartments, but we were the only guests at the time of our visit. There was a small pool in the basement but it was unheated, and as we were there during cold weather, we didn't want to use it.

This is my second stay at this property. I was welcomed back like an old friend. The apartment is spotless, well stocked and comfortable. I have had the best 4 nights sleep in a long time.

I honestly cannot fault these apartments. I was met in the square by the extremely welcoming owner who showed me the reserved parking (underground and €12 per day – secured behind electric gates not even 50m from the property). I had an apartment on the 2nd floor (elevator and stairs) with the incredible view of the church and beautiful sounds of the church bells. The apartment is SPOTLESS and modern. I am told it is 2 years since they renovated but it could have been yesterday. There is a washing machine, fridge, microwave, fully stocked crockery and cutlery, dining table, large sofa and the room is spacious and a super comfy bed with luxury bed linen. Gorgeous modern large shower room (no bath). There is a cute little terrace above with views of the church, square and mountains of olive trees. The Wi-Fi is excellent. Below in the square there are several restaurants which are incredibly affordable and tasty. A word of warning. I arrived at 4pm (midweek) and they had all started to shut for “siesta” and would only reopen at 8pm. So do not arrive hungry as restaurants and supermarkets etc all close for a few hours. Even though you are on the square, it is not noisy. The location of the property in Priego de Cordoba could not be more perfect and the owner could not be more hospitable. I actually bumped into her in the street whilst looking for a shop to buy an international adaptor (my rookie error) and the next thing she had left one at my door that she purposefully bought for me to use. I am currently renovating a property in the area and will need a place to stay when I pop over and the house is more habitable. I most certainly will be staying here on a regular basis when I come over to Priego. See you soon Casa Rural Plaza Santa Ana.

Really nice tidy apartment in a good location. Hosts were very welcoming. I arrived early and it was no problem. Motorbike safe in the garage.
