Ideal place for big families, like we are (6 people). The garden is National Geographic live with turtles, birds, and lizards. The terrace is a good reading area. Great place for swimmers, as Lake Prespa is warm and in the mornings is like silk. By afternoon you can experience waves. Connect Beach was our favorite place to swim. It is 20 minutes walk distance and 5 minutes car distance from the house. You can find anything nearby, great restaurants, shops, a bakery with good prices, and great people. After a few days, we made a habit of having breakfast at the beach with freshly baked goodies, coffee, and heavenly dairy products. Ohrid is one hour's distance, but taking the road through the reservation is breathtaking even if it takes more time. We loved Ohrid too. If you are keen on European-style tourism, you will love Ohrid. The prices is 30-40% higher there but are still very affordable. A local restaurant dinner for 6 people with dessert was around 80 Euros. The same in Pretor was 55 Euros. We prefer to be among locals, so we will choose Prespa Lake over Ohrid anytime, but this is a personal preference. The hosts are great. Always reacting fast, offering plenty of information on what to visit, and when to go. They speak English very well.
