Literally metres from the metro station, so from and to the airport is very simple. This really is the heart of the upper city and it is no distance to anywhere... whether walking or using the metro. Many locations for breakfast, lunch and tea... our favourite is literally 5 minutes away (Pedro dos Frango's)

City Heart Place 4 was all about the location. We stepped out of the front door onto the main street, Rue De Santa Catarina, which was directly opposite the Chapel of Souls, on Rue De Fernandes Tomas, The fantastic Market Do Bolhao was within 100ms and the fact the entrance to the Metro Bolhao was 5ms meant that when it was raining (and it rained all the time we were there😥), we were able to use the subway and walk directly in to the market, and stay dry, was an added bonus. The Majestic Cafe was within walking distance but we chose to use Fabrica De Nata Santa Catarina because it was much better value for money, and closer to the apartment. The apartment had 2 bedrooms with twin beds in each room and a further double sofa bed in the living/dining/kitchen area. The bathroom had a lovely shower. Unfortunately, the water pressure is not brilliant and we were unable to get the over head shower to work, but the hand held shower head was adequate. The bedroom curtains need some attention - they need more hooks and do not close smoothly. The bathroom door needs to be adjusted as it didn't close very well. This apartment is not luxurious - and if it was, considering it's location, it would probably cost 3-4 times more, but it has everything you need. I would not hesitate to recommend this apartment as long as the occupant manages their expectations and understands that this is great 'Value For Money' option - not a 4* hotel. Susanna met us, showed us the apartment and handed over the keys, and her communication throughout was excellent. Great host.
