The fine print
According to the Brazilian Federal Law 8.069/1990, minors under 18 years of age cannot check into hotels unless they are accompanied by their parents or a designated adult. If a minor is accompanied by an adult other than his parents, it is necessary to present a written authorisation for the minor to check into the hotel. Such authorisation must be notarised and signed by both parents, and presented along with notarised copies of their IDs.

rooms were comfortable - linen was not clean in all our rooms - we booked 12 rooms for a group of 32. The breakfast was good. The location - the neighborhood was not safe - particularly at night. Some of the reception workers were very helpful, with ordering food and arranging taxi service.

breakfast options were a nice variety and good quality. rooms were clean, some fixtures were broken - shower valves, door handles, toilet paper holder staff were pleasant and helpful - even with ordering food to be delivered since we arrived late at night.
