we loved watching the goats and chickens and the peacock wondering about. the Lodge was perfect for our group of 5 ladies. lovely location, 15 minute walk to Port Issac.

Extraordinarily beautiful location on cliff top with ocean view at horizon. The animals (goats, Guinea hens and ducks) were a delightful plus. Owner rapidly responded to question re heating. Good size capacity of coin-operated and separate washer and dryer (1.50 to wash, 0.50 for each 15 mins drying time). Water temp and pressure were excellent, however no grab bars, so potential issue for those with balance or joint issues. Cliff walks are beautiful but be aware are very steep & were muddy after a rain, so not accessible for those with mobility or cardiopulmonary issues. In October, no availability of Uber so requires car rental to explore area (Tin Tagel castle, etc) For an American, driving is very challenging due to tight hand drive and narrow, winding roads. Port Isaac is walkable via a challenging steep path, and was fun to visit—wonderful meals at Golden Lion and Black House Wine Bar, with friendly staff.
