You can walk straight outside to your deck chair in the sun beside the pool. The design of the building means most places are well-sheltered from the wind. Close to the beach.

The pool and the pool area were pleasant, well-maintained, and delightfully quiet, with good sun exposure so great for tanning. The buildings have a lot of charm. I think the apartments were built in the early wave of tourists visiting the island, because they had much more character than more recent buildings, with the outer walls being made of smooth pebbles and an overall feel of a little fortress to the whole place. We didn't expect to have little individual balcony windows in our rooms, so that was a pleasant extra. The main balcony/terrace was surprisingly, delightfully large. Location was great. It was a ten minute walk to the Yumbo centre - great for restaurants, drag shows, and gay nightlife. It was also very close to a smaller commercial centre that is popular with German swingers. Not my thing, but they had a nice, friendly little bar there that had karaoke a couple of nights, and we had a pleasant evening or two there. Also not too far a walk to the Cita Centre which is the main place for swingers. Again, not my thing, but I mention it because I know the destination is popular with the swinger crowd, so the information might be useful to them. In the other direction, a very short walk takes you to a cliff overlooking the start of the dunes, with stairs leading down to Playa Del Ingles itself.
