1. Staff Everyone was kind, helpful, and had a great attitude. I didn’t see a single person with a bitter or annoyed expression, which honestly made a big difference in how the day felt. It was simply nice to be around them. The level of politeness was well above what you’d normally expect. 2. Food The food was excellent, and what stood out even more was how well they listened to feedback. One evening I mentioned that the lamb didn’t seem ideal for the grill — it was a bit chewy, maybe due to the cut or age. The staff immediately passed the feedback to the restaurant manager, who then took it to the chef. The next evening, the lamb was served oven-cooked instead. It’s rare to see feedback implemented that fast — really impressive. 3. Location (Restaurant & Beach) Not too far from the airport, and a bit outside of Chania, which actually works well if you’re looking for a peaceful seaside spot. You get the calm and the view you’re hoping for. 4. Facilities The resort is big and packed with options — from what’s available in the rooms to everything around the pool. There’s a wide variety of things to do and enjoy. Without the room noise issues, the gym facilities and the sun beds reserved by old ppl at 7AM and then returning hours later, I would have rated it with a 5 out of 5.

The rooms were cleaned every day it was near to platanias which has loads of shops and restaurants. Right on the beach , loads of sunbeds, the food was varied and of good quality and the staff were friendly and helpful. The beds were big and comfortable we had a room with a shared pool which we enjoyed and there's beer, wine and soft drinks available all day and the snack bar has a large and varied choice. It was only a half hour transfer from the airport .

I stayed at Caldera Creta Paradise Hotel while attending a conference nearby and was very impressed. The room and overall property were excellent—clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. I booked a plan that included breakfast, which was both delicious and great value. The staff were outstanding: incredibly helpful with any questions I had and always warm and friendly. One of the highlights of the property is its direct access to the beach, though I didn’t go in as it was still a bit early in the season. Since it was shoulder season, the hotel wasn’t busy, and given the size of the property, it felt quiet and spacious. That said, I imagine the atmosphere would be much livelier in the peak summer months. I noticed many families with young children, and the hotel seemed very well equipped to accommodate them. Overall, an excellent stay and a hotel I’d highly recommend.
