I had a truly delightful stay at L’Amandine. The guesthouse is full of charm — calm, beautifully decorated, and full of character. My room was spotless, very comfortable, and well-appointed, with high-quality bedding and a lovely view overlooking the square. The location is simply perfect — right in the historic center of Périgueux, within walking distance of everything: cafés, shops, markets, and cultural sites. Despite being located above a café, the atmosphere in the evening is surprisingly peaceful, allowing you to enjoy the buzz of the city by day and rest quietly at night. What really made the difference was the warm and thoughtful welcome. Our hosts were incredibly kind, always available, and full of helpful recommendations. Whether you're visiting for a short break or a longer escape, L’Amandine is a hidden gem I would happily return to — and highly recommend.

This was a fantasitc location in the centre of the town over a cafe on an old square, run by the hosts. They have a key safe setup for late arrivals but I met them in person and they were extremly friendly and helpful. The room had been recently renovated with everything you would need including a kitchenette, TV, en-suite. They told me about a lovely local restauraunt ' chez Fred' which I would recomend within 5 minutes walk but would recomend you book if you want outdoor seating as it was busy. In the moring the cafe was open and they sourced me a local Pain Au Choclate to have with my coffee. The hosts couldnt do enough.
