Paraty is the town of your dreams, and pousada Valhacouto is 5min walk from the cobblestone streets of the town centre. Really cool atmosphere at night with restaurants and bars at walking distance. Room was basic but good, it wasn't ready when we arriveed but we could leave our luggage locked at reception. It is a traditional building so all the ceilings/windows are wooden.

We stayed for 2 nights at Pousada Valhacouto II and would have liked to have stayed longer to explore the town more. We were in a separate block to the main check in area but it was great and the rooms were air-conditioned and very clean. Breakfast was lovely, fresh fruit, eggs and lots of cake. Staff were friendly. Location was great, you could walk to everything.
