A quirky small resort with so much potential. Pros: lovely setting & garden, great restaurant, lots of choice for breakfast, lunch & dinner. Staff lovely but not always available. Pool shallow but refreshing in the heat. Close to airport so good for overnight stay. More suited to family accommodation.

We had a lovely stay at temple tree resort. The staff was kind and helpful. Our room was spacious for two people. It’s a short car ride from the airport and we had no problem going by grab to explore the island. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Breakfast was our favourite thing at the resort; baked goods freshly made onsite, local nasi lemak and a daily hot selection. We spent whole mornings chatting and the staff were very gracious to allow us to linger. If you like history and heritage buildings, don’t miss the chance to stay in these well preserved relics and enjoy feeling like you were back when Malaysia still felt young, curious and open-minded.

Beautiful heritage property, stylish, sophisticated and peaceful. Amazing staff. Delicious breakfast and their lunch/dinner menu is great too. You can borrow bikes to cycle to the nearby beach and rent a car for the day if you want to explore further afield (geoforest, northern beaches etc).
