We stayed in Le Cinque Stanze for 4 nights in June which was in the perfect location for a city break. It was just a short walk to the airport bus shuttle stop at Piazza Ruggero Settimo (just outside the Prada store), and again a short walk onto the main strip Via Ruggero Settimo leading to Via Maqueda which took you to the main train station (we went to Cafalu by train for the day which is highly recommended). There are many shops and restaurants off this route as well as attractions such as Teatro Massimo di Palermo, Quattro Canti, Fontana Pretoria and Church of Saint Mary 'dell'Ammiraglio'. The same route in the other direct takes you to bus route 806, about an 10min walk to stop, and onto Mondello beach. Our hosts were amazing from start to finish. Ever so helpful with information and wanting to ensure our stay was Perfect. Breakfast was continental and the hosts on hand to help provide different coffees and restock. The hotel was bright and very clean and looked recently redecorated. Our room had excellent air con which was essential as the temperatures were starting to go up. The hotel has about five rooms so it is never too busy or noisy. In the evenings it was very quiet. There was an outside seating area which we didn’t use but you could have coffee or a drink in the open air. Would definitely recommend for many reasons but on the basis of location, hosts, price, cleanliness, safety, facilities and convenience it scores a 10.
