Staying at this charming farm-style house was an absolute delight. The home was in fantastic shape—immaculately clean, well-kept, and tastefully decorated. The beds, duvets, and pillows were cozy and high-quality, and the bathrooms were spotless. With enough space to comfortably accommodate eight people, it’s perfect for families or groups. The setting is truly breathtaking, offering tranquility, beautiful scenery, and stunning sunsets every evening. Highly recommend it for anyone seeking a peaceful, picturesque getaway.

A Perfect Secluded Getaway Near Oudtshoorn We had a fantastic family stay at Kandelaars Cottage! Just a 10-minute drive from Oudtshoorn, it feels wonderfully secluded and peaceful — perfect for a relaxing retreat. But close enough to the many restaurants and activities oudtshoorn and calitzdorp have to offer. Just be mindful of the traffic officers, we saw numerous roadblocks in various locations during our stay. The cottage was spotless, very comfortable, and fully equipped with everything we needed. One of the highlights was enjoying the stunning sunset views from the patio each evening — absolutely breathtaking. We were warmly welcomed with freshly baked bread and a bottle of wine, which was such a thoughtful touch. If you're looking for tranquility, comfort, and beautiful views, we highly recommend Kandelaars Cottage!

Lovely farm location. Quietness, mountain, nature and ostriches. Elmarie is an excellent hostess and spoiled us with fresh flowers, wine and a homebaked bread. She went the extra mile to organise us a fan for the one room. The furniture, bedding and pillows were all of good taste and quality.
