The fine print
After confirmation, Sonder will reach out to guests through a secure link to gather some information regarding their stay. Sonder may require the guest to provide a photo of their government-issued photo ID. Guests will receive check-in details from property management three days prior to arrival. Please note: the layout, furniture, and decor of your space may vary from these photos. The balconies are seasonal and available in the warmer months. There is no room service, daily cleanings, or cable. We have provided a Roku for streaming. Cribs are not available for studio apartments due to safety regulations.Sonder offers all guests the ability to book housekeeping services on-demand for a nominal fee. This ensures you can enjoy an uninterrupted and environmentally sustainable stay. Housekeeping services must be scheduled via the Sonder app, 24 hours in advance.Please inform in advance of your expected arrival time. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation.

The apartment looked a little smaller than the photos. But once inside it didn't feel that way. It had all the amenities you needed plus more. Complimentary tea/coffee, milk. Free Dishwasher pods. The staff were always helpful in providing replacement eg: towels. Location- spot on, very accessible by bus to everywhere sometimes cheaper by Uber depending how many of you were travelling. It was so relaxing home from home, I even used the gym! I would recommend downloading the Sonder App. Gives info about the local neighbourhood especially food shops. Rather than rely on Google. Top rated location, you are only a 5min walk round the corner from the Canadian Museum of Nature. I would definitely recommend staying at this location.

The room itself is really nice and it’s in a great location. However we had some problems with our toilet getting clogged on our first day there, which wasn’t resolved until the following day. All communication with staff is via their app, and you initially speak to an AI robot until they put you through to their staff, but no one responded to our maintenance request until the following day. The lack of staff and in-person interactions makes it really difficult to solve any issues that pop up. To their credit, when they did finally fix our toilet, they were very kind and helpful. It seems as if there’s a communication issue here with only being able to communicate via their app. The laundry facilities are also an issue. We went through about half a bottle of washing detergent trying out every machine we possibly could, as none of them would accept our cards for payment (there is no cash option). We found out at the end of the stay that you need to download a seperate app to use the washing machines, however all the signage in the laundry rooms says this is optional. Again it seems as if miscommunication is a big problem here. Overall our stay was fine and the rooms are nice, but these issues really inconvenienced us and were more difficult to solve than they should have been.
