Location and complete atmosphere at the apartment is nice. Communication with the host was really friendly and helpful. Bottle of good wine was served for us as guests which is really nice. We couldn't use the terrace very much because of somewhat cold and windy weather, but barbecue on the roof is also nice.

Ah, Opatija—where the Habsburgs once strolled in well-heeled splendor, and where one now finds Villa Volos, a charming little jewel that quite understands the importance of comfort without ostentation. This apartment, though petite, is a veritable masterclass in how to be both compact and exceedingly comfortable—a skill some grand hotels could stand to learn. The decor is delightfully eclectic, the facilities are all present and correct, and, most crucially, everything is as clean as a duchess’s reputation ought to be. The location? A most civilized walk along the promenade to the heart of Opatija, where one may bask in the faded grandeur of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, perhaps while contemplating why modern architecture has so little regard for dignity. And the host? Professional, helpful, and—most refreshingly—blessed with the rare ability to provide assistance without intrusion. A vanishing breed, I assure you. In sum, Villa Volos is a most agreeable choice for those who appreciate comfort without excess and compromise, and—above all—the ability to retire from the world in a place that knows how to behave... not to mention an incredible view from the terrace on top of the building - MAGIC!

This was a beautiful tastefully decorated apartment. It was clean and comfy and easy walking distance to the beach and restaurants etc. The host was easy to contact and accomodating. Would stay again and recommend to friends.
