This is the family’s ancestral plot in the protected old town Varosh. The house was rebuilt approx 10 years ago. It feels very authentic. We loved staying in Varosh old town, it is the most beautiful part of Ohrid. The host family are very attentive without being in the way. Lovely people. It is a private house with 3 apartments. Two apartments have air con. The ground floor has no air con. We took first floor with air con which sleeps 4. We were 2 so had lots of room. We used air con half the time in June. Beds comfy, balcony with excellent view of lake, shower hot, kitchen has fridge freezer and hob. No oven or toaster. There is a cute and useful bedroom dressing table with lights around. Very good for make up. The front terrace is straight to the lake. I swam every day. There is a good local restaurant next door. Many in easy walking distance. Wear flats. No need for heels. It’s very bumpy. A little noise from restaurants, nightlife music at weekend and lake birds but the double glazing was decent enough to get a good nights sleep. SUP Ohrid delivered boards to us which was great fun. The apartment is very clean. We had good food in the town restaurants. Big supermarket at the harbour which meant we could easily make breakfast and lunch as well as eat out. Lovely fresh tomatoes and cheeses. Macedonia loves cheese! Prosecco/Cava hard to find but they sell it at supermarket so we filled the fridge. We had an excellent stay. Walking, swimming, sunbathing, running, eating, looking, learning, relaxing, reading.

The apartments have their own private access to the lake which is ☆☆☆☆☆ View is stunning It have all the basic facilities suits for family and very spacious. You can also explore the broadwalk (is a must go to) which next to the apartments

The property and owners were very nice. Plenty of places to sit and enjoy the view of the lake on the terrace. The bed was extremely comfortable cooking facilities were very good. There was plenty of space in the apartment.
