Absolutely recommended to stay at Ragith Villa in Nuwara Eliya. We loved our stay here!! The room is nice, spacious, comfortable, has a big bed and a clean bathroom. We loved the little sunroom where we ate our breakfast with a beautiful view. The breakfast itself was also super good, and I definitely recommend ordering dinner here as well. One of the tastiest meals we've had in Sri Lanka! The staff was super friendly. The location was perfect for us, a bit away from the center and nice and quiet, but very close to the lake and surrounded by tea plantations. Perfect to walk and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Everything we could have wished for for our stay in Nuwara Eliya

Very disappointed with the room and the cleaning. We’ve have been traveling with the same budget for the past 3 months around India, Nepal and Sri Lanka and this is by far the worst place we’ve stayed. Specially, in terms of cleaning. We booked a room from the lower floor, and it feels like a bunker. The carpet on the floor was dirty and full of hairs. The huge wardrobe is locked so cannot be used and full of things (like a mattress) and dust. The bathroom also dirty and water leaking everywhere. The views form the room are at an interior courtyard full of things as well, so better keep the curtain closed. The house in general also very dirty. If it wasn’t enough, we were woken up by the lady of the house yelling at some workers next to our room because they decided to move all the furniture just outside of the room. When we opened the door of the room, we found all the dirt and dust that was under all that furniture.. no one cleaned until after we left I guess. The only positive thing we can find: - quiet place - beautiful views (only if you get the upper ones at double the price)
