The position is perfect to go to Crystal Bay also by foot. The Bungalows are in the middle of a forest so don't be surprise for insects and friends :) They tried their best and were very kind. They can organise tour and taxi for the port. Btw we did not try any tour.

Our stay was enjoyable overall. The room was spacious and clean, though it could benefit from a refresh. Despite this, it met all our needs. A mini fridge would have been a nice addition. The thatched roof and thin walls mean that noise, such as barking dogs and loud guests, can be easily heard, so earplugs are recommended. The staff were very friendly and multitasked effectively. The pool was lovely, but there were an overwhelming number of ants everywhere. The restaurant was okay, although the young staff tended to overcook the food, making it hit or miss whether it would be tender or tough. All the restaurants in the village offer similar menus with slightly different prices, so there isn’t much variety. There is one shop there offering the basics. The road into the village is very rough, and the drive from the ferry was quite nerve-wracking. The beach is a short 5-minute walk away, and while it’s nice, the eateries nearby also have identical menus. I enjoyed our stay, but it’s probably best suited for just 2 or 3 nights. Taxis from the ferry should only cost around 200k IDR, and don’t forget there’s a 25k IDR entry fee to the island. It’s unclear where that money goes, as it certainly doesn’t seem to be used for keeping the island clean.
