Beautiful Georgian property. Lovely rooms and bar/restaurant area. I arrived early and was able to check in after 10 minutes. I was visiting my dad at the Friarage hospital and was able to use the all night side entrance to come and go in the early hours. The same staff member was there in the morning and was very kind at an upsetting time for me and arranged a late checkout so I could get more sleep. I ate on the evening and had a delicious chicken skewer and a lovely slingsby gin.

It was fine but noticed the grouting round the bottom tiles in the shower were black. Apart from that - it was excellent as usual.

The inclusive breakfast of muesli, compote, yoghurt, toast, fruit, fruit juice and very good coffee was a pleasant surprise, and well up to our expectations. Other options were available at a price. Staff could not have been more pleasant or helpful. Parking was very easy, and location excellent; right on the end of the main street.

Ideally situated in the town at the end of the Main Street Lovely town with some unusual shops, plenty of bars and friendly pubs
