Lovely property. Clean, comfortable, and quiet. The host and staff were friendly and helpful. Great pool, but it gets busy in the afternoon. We left a pair of shoes there, and they arranged to have them sent to our hotel in Hue. Exceptional service !

Ninh Binh Retreat is the most beautiful place - the gardens, the pool, the verandah, the rooms, the position under the karst peaks - everything is perfect and aesthetically pleasing. I think it is easily the nicest place in the area. We were given the most delicious dinner on the first night, free of charge. The owner and his family are lovely people. We will recommend to all our friends.

It looks like the property was amazing once. Unfortunately, now it looks run down, rooms need repair. We stayed in two rooms. One was good enough, but the other room was humid and water was dripping in the bathroom from the second floor. We had hot water one evening, but not the next day and shower was getting flooded everytime we use it. The best from this stay was that you could get free bicycles and the owner tried to help with everything we asked.

Rural location,, outside Ninh Binh, several restaurants near by, easy reach (by free bikes) of Tam Coc and Ninh Bihn waterways. Nice owner, cooked a real tasty meal for us for free! Nice view on swimmingpool.
