The host is very welcoming. It's a pleasure to talk to him, ask him about your plans or ask him to book a restaurant or call remote onsen. He recommended us the best restaurant for dinner we have ever had in Japan. It's just a 10-minute walk. What a treat. The room is in an older house, which is the traditional Japanese house. You share a bathroom and toilet with other guests (max 4 people share this, so that is fine). The room is great, spacious, and the air conditioning works superb. We came by car, but the host is willing to pick you up and drive you to your next destination. The host speaks English very well. I highly recommend this accommodation.

Extremely friendly host who was very accommodating for us. The room was spacious for two people and was a perfect Ryokan experience. The host offers a free shuttle service from the Shimo-Imachi station to the accommodation, but he also offered us a lift to the surrounding area to get dinner and breakfast.

The very friendly and informative owner, Hiro, and the well-equipped kitchen and onsen. Very comfortable futon beds in a Tatami room. Hiro gave us detailed information regarding where to visit around Nikko. The setting on a quiet ancient road lined with centuries old cedar trees was superb, and Hiro happy to drive us to/from local shops and train stations. We would be happy to stay there again to explore more of what Nikko and surrounding areas have to offer.

Our room had lovely views to the garden. Hiro was a great host and helped us giving us recommendations and doing bookings for us. We had a great time during our stay. Easy to park. Nice to experience living in a typical Japanese house. We loved meeting Marie (Hiro’s dog).
