Slobodan “Specious apartment, good location, friendly hosts, felt safe... but huge problems with electricity”

Spacious apartment on the 2nd floor of a building in the old part of Stone Town (2 bedrooms, each with the aircon, 2 bathrooms, 2 balconies, kitchen with the fridge and gas stove), dining room, comfortable beds. The hosts were friendly, and helped us with the luggage, they live next door on the same floor, we felt safe. Good location, everything is close once you get used to finding ways in Stone Town (which took us half a day). BTW, Stone Town is not a labyrinth, as some describe it --it is a very logical network of narrow streets, which always end at another street (thus never closed-ended, like in a maze), and make shade so it's not prohibitively hot for walking even in the middle of the (regularly) hot day.
