The fine print
The spa and leisure facilities are open weekdays from 9.30am-6.15pm and 8.30am-7.30pm on weekends. Children may use the pool on the first slot in the morning. As a resident in the hotel your stay includes a complimentary 2-hour access of our facilities. To avoid disappointment we strongly recommend booking spa use in advance as these are already proving to be very popular. Really impressive and luxurious. The food and drink was incredibly expensive and I was shocked at a service charge added the individual order this included in even a glass of wine and the spa treatment- and extra 20 pound service charge on top of an expensive treatment didn’t feel right. But then you have to go through embarrassing experience of having it justified and asked to be taken off.

Upon arrival I was greeted by John, who took my bag and handed me a lovely chilled glass of wine whilst I checked in. I was then informed I had been upgraded to a suite, another lovely surprise. The room was beautiful, quiet, well equipped, with a coffee machine, plenty of pods, a fantastic work space. The bedroom was warm, the bed very comfortable, and the bedding beautifully ironed and pure white. Bedroom was also lovely, with a selection of products for use. Dinner was delicious, the restaurant is elegant and peaceful, perfect as a lone business traveller. Overall, a super stay.

Lovely and peaceful, with smart but casual feel. This made it very relaxing. The staff were very warm and friendly also very knowledgeable! The art collection is extensive and was fascinating, not expected which we really enjoyed. The wine of course was exceptional, we are not wine connoisseurs, and everything recommended was amazing, with a great range of prices. The food was incredible, everything is made there, even the burger buns! We made full use of the spa which was mostly empty - and the treatments were wonderful.
