The owner was super nice and allowed us to turn up at 11am because we had an early flight. She also organized a driver to pick us up at the airport and helped us figure out the train schedule for Puttalam. The swimming pool was great for relaxing. The kids loved it! And the garden is gorgeous.

The hotel is located near the beach and just around the left-hand corner there is a simple eatery (Buhari Hotel = Eatery place) that sells noodles, rice, and roti that opens till late in the evening, that is if you want a simple local street food. From there onwards, the other eateries are all catered to tourists and even bottled water is 10-15% more than the standard price. We stumbled upon a jewelry store by the name of Sailian Jewels and bought a blue sapphire that happened to be 50% less than the wholesale stores in Kandy. The owner is nice and friendly that is easy to strike up a conversation. The store is beside Pinks (expensive for a simple breakfast).

The staff were really nice, was waiting for me at 3am when I arrived. The pool is a refreshing addition, was perfect to cool down on those hot days and was always kept clean. The bedroom was nice and cool and very clean when I arrived. Overall a great stay!
