“We had a great time!”
21 May 2025
The staff were great and made our stay feel personalised. The "home cooked meal" was a full kaiseki dinner and breakfast, including lovingly prepared meals for the children. Location was great - away from the main crowds at Shirakawa-Go, and just across from Iwase House, the largest Gass-Ho in the region, where we spent some time exploring (owner gave an English-speaking tour). Easy drive either south to Shirakawa-Go, or north to the quieter (but smaller) villages of Ainokura and Suganuma.

“Great onsen, great Japanese room, super great food.”

-Great dinner and breakfast. My family love the Japanese cuisine. They use very fresh local ingredients. -The hot spring is clean and comfortable. Good amenities. -Opposite to one Gassho house which you can visit (requires entrance fee) -Bus stop just in front of the hotel -Convenient to take the bus to the two smaller Gassho villages in Ishigawa. -The Japanese style room (with tatami) is very spacious. I traveled in 3 this time, but I guess it will be very suitable for a family with more people.

“A serene winter escape, where warmth and tranquility embraced me amidst the snow.”

A charming ryokan nestled in the heart of nowhere, embraced by a winter's blanket of snow. Serene and cozy, offering exquisite dinners and the warmest kindness from its staff.
