The lodge is lovely and spacious with everything we needed for cooking etc. The location is great for exploring but feels like you’re in the middle of nowhere when you’re sitting outside the lodge. Lovely and relaxing with gorgeous horses for company. Would stay again and recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing stay to explore Northumberland.

Brilliant peaceful location, very friendly hosts & very friendly horses, a resident Heron, well equipped cabin, it was the most rewarding holiday ever.

Sunny, cosy, clean and comfortable lodge, located in a beautiful and quiet part of the Northumberland countryside and an ideal base for visiting local beaches, beauty spots and landmarks. As other reviewers have noted, it's the welcoming touches that make all the difference - bowls, blankets and treats for our dog, nibbles for the neighbouring horses and milk, sweets and wine for the humans. Pretty much everything we needed was provided and all we had to do was to make ourselves at home! Many thanks to our friendly and helpful hosts for making our stay at the Owls Nest such a peaceful and pleasant one and we wouldn't hesitate to book another visit in the future, 10/10 :)
