Fantastic location in an ancient fortification that was carefully restored by the heir and his family. The chalet has everything needed for a comfortable stay for a family of 4. The friendly proprietor surprised us with a free bottle of local red wine and shared some historic facts of Montecarlo. It is located in a quaint hill top town not too far from Lucca.

You hardly ever get a chance to stay and sleep in a renovated part of an old Italian castle! But now is your chance!! The setting is lovely and the old house is completely renovated. New and good quality bathroom, airconditioned in both bedrooms and everything is present and super clean! It is just a few steps from the lovely middelaged streets with nice restaurants which serve traditional Italian food at a fair price. We recommend La Terrazza for a nice pizza and great view at the mountains. The hosts Luigi and Allessandro were kind and very helpfull. Alessandro even gave us a tour around the castle. It is a pity that this place to stay has little feedback yet, but if you're crazy about castles and middle aged houses, book this jewel! Thank you so much Alessandro and Luigi for the good service and patience!

Absolutely wonderful! It's exactly like on photos and even better. You literally live in a castle! But with AC, smart TV, good Wi-fi, washing machine etc. Nice little garden, big kitchen, great location. It's 1min from restaurants and cafés (Montecarlo is a lovely town). Hosts are wonderful! They were very helpful, welcomed us with a bottle of local wine and gifted us their homemade olive oil (made of olives from our garden). I highly recommend staying here, it's an exceptional experience.
