The location was perfect, walking distance to everything in the Centro Historico. The rooftop restaurant was gorgeous and definitely the highlight and the hotel felt very secure, with 24/7 guards. Things to note - there is basically no soundproofing in the rooms and there is music every night. Also breakfast really varied in quality, day one I was blown away, beautiful fruit salad, cappuccino, fruit juice, choice of bread, omelettes to order. The next day, no choice of bread, no choice of coffee. Also the room had very wobbly stairs and a wobbly banister so one to note for those with disabilities or mobility issues. But it was a good value hotel for the Easter holidays in Mexico City and the staff were lovely.

The hotel is well located and the building is beautiful. However, I would only recommend staying here during the weekend to someone who’s deaf. Seriously - the rooftop terrace is lovely but we were not able to enjoy it for more than 10 minutes because there was a live band that was SO LOUD. We tried to seek refuge in our room (on the ground floor) but you can still hear the music. In fact, you can hear it from like 2 blocks away. And this lasted from ~ 3 pm when we arrived, until 11.30 pm. On Sunday morning, at around 11 am, music started again. We are a young couple and we’re pretty tolerant to noise, but this was just too much. The owners need to choose whether they want to run a hotel or a concert venue. Both in the same building doesn’t work.
