The fine print
Please note that from April 24, 2025 to early summer (July 15, 2025) we will be working on remodeling the Hotel and it is possible that there will be noise and some minor inconveniences. Work will be Monday through Saturday from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. The affected areas may be some corridors, common areas and pool.Free parking is available two blocks from the hotel from 07:00 to 23:00.Please inform in advance of your expected arrival time. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation.
In the event of an early departure, the property will charge you the full amount for your stay.

Amazing view from the rooftop. Woman at the reception helped me switch rooms after one day so I had a room with a window outside. They were really helpful in moving my bags. There is construction going on but I didn’t hear anything. Also they have water stations on all of the floors and cleaning left me 2 bottles each day. It’s very close to the historic center and safe to walk evening in the evening or early morning.

The location is good. Just like 2 blocks from the Plaza Grande so everything is at a short walking distance. There are several restaurants close by. The rooms are small but quite fine for what we needed. Clean room, ac worked fine and clean bathroom as well

Hotel Colonial de Mérida in Rio Lagartos is currently undergoing refurbishments, which means there is a fair amount of noise during the day, like many other guests have noted. The construction doesn't interfere with sleeping hours, but it is something to be aware if you're planning to spend a lot of time in the hotel during the day. The hotel meets basic Mexican standards, offering the essentials for a night's stay. The location is quite convenient, although parking is a few blocks away – make sure to ask the reception for directions. The terrace offers a decent view, providing a pleasant spot to relax.
