Only issue I had was it is not friendly for elderly as too many steps to climb and steep especially if you have to take the luggage up… the place is so lovely that you do forget the aches and pains once in your room and space! Mendocini is a lovely quaint town..

Our place was down the street from the main house. We loved having breakfast (in a basket) brought to our room each day and eating on the back porch with a distant view of the ocean. We enjoyed our room and the staff was great. Each night there had a happy hour at the main house with wine, fruit, cheeses and crackers. It was delightful.

Enjoyed being upgraded to larger room. Wine and cheese at Blue Door Inn was excellent. Staff very friendly. Location of Packard House is close to art galleries, shops, and restaurants, as well as the coastal path and the wild Pacific Ocean. Added bonus: a spouting whale.
