Just returned from a two week stay at Villa Lucas. The accommodation is of a high standard, beautifully furnished (traditional style) and immaculate throughout. The property has a gorgeous outdoor space with plenty of seating options and a great pool area. The layout of the property worked well for our group of six although if you have small children be aware that the fourth bedroom (with its own terrace) has a double bed and is accessed externally via a wrought iron outside staircase. It has no bathroom. The smaller of the two buildings has a kitchen/diner (with sofa bed) and one bedroom (double) with ensuite bathroom. The larger building has two bedrooms (one double, and one twin) with a separate bathroom. We’d done our research in advance and knew what to expect so the layout was fine for the make up of our group. The villa is very private and tucked away but easy enough to find once you know it’s set back from the main road, right next door to the only supermarket in the village. We’d viewed it on Google Maps before booking, so knew exactly where it was when we arrived. There was plenty of information available at the Villa re taxi service and other amenities. The local taxi man was reliable. Car hire was also easy and the firm we used dropped off and collected the car – there is a free, large carpark next to the church in the village. The communication with the host was excellent (via Whatsapp), and other members of the host family maintained the pool area and provided a cleaning service every three days. You can probably decline this service or ask for less frequent if preferred, but we appreciated the regular change of bedding and towels (and they left a homemade dish with each visit, which was unexpected but lovely). The villa is only a few steps from the village square, which is tiny but very vibrant and surprising lively. There is one restaurant (Cabot & Olive) which was most popular with visitors (best to book particularly at weekends).

The host was fantastic throughout the stay. The villa is stunningly beautiful and boasts beautiful gardens and pool. The village is quaint and provides high quality food and a warm welcome. We are rather particular clients and we had a fabulous time. As a family of 6 of all ages, everyone had a great time. Hiring a car from Bali is easy. The villa is regularly cleaned and is immaculate. It is favourable to the building, traditionally furnished. Self catering was easy as the kitchen is well equipped. The two separate buildings means there is plenty of space. Air conditioning is modern and effective. The BBQ area is beautiful for a family meal. We highly recommend staying here!

Villa is very nice. It has everything you need. There is one house with 2 bedrooms, kitchen, livingroom and toilet. And another house with 2 bedrooms and small kitchen and toilet. Little store is just next to it. And children’s playground around the corner. When we arrived there was a cake and fruits for us. Owner is very friendly. They are cleaning the villa regularly.
