"If you want to experience Matera by staying in a cave room (as is the case with much of the old town), then this is a worthwhile accommodation option, as it combines those elements. The room was inside a cave with the basic amenities (though ours didn’t have a view—but that’s okay)

Breakfast was fairly basic (cereal, bread, juice, tea/coffee) but was held in one of the cave rooms that went a long way back into the hillside. Bedroom was ok - a little small. Location was excellent but does require a short walk down/up stairs from street to get to Le Vie Del Mosto. Plenty of excellent restaurants and bars within easy walk.

Really wonderful place to stay in Matera. You cannot beat the view from this place, it’s breathtaking. Very easy to find and there’s a car parking garage just a 4min walk away. The breakfast was really nice with a lot of choice. I said I was gluten intolerant and they had a lot of gluten free things for me which was really nice. The communication was really great and they provided clear info of how to find the place and restaurants etc
