We had a fantastic stay at Fantastic Matala—just like the name says, it truly is fantastic! The hotel is right in the heart of the village, which is both beautiful and full of authentic charm. It’s just a 2minutes walk from a stunning beach. The room was very clean and comfortable, and the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. Highly recommended!

Hosts are super friendly and always willing to help and chat. And little parcels of home-made cake every day. We found the first room we were shown a little too small but a slightly larger one was found for us and we were grateful for that. The gardens are really pretty and our little outside terrace (with drying rack) was perfect.

Here's that translated into English: A sweet little hotel with a great location. The bed was good. The shower was a bit small, but we managed. The owners are really charming and friendly. The only thing we missed were mosquito nets on the balcony door and window. We got quite a few bites.
