The lady who met me at the apartment building, Fatima, very kindly carried one of my suitcases up the stairs, which I was extremely grateful for.

I very much enjoyed my solo stay and would happily live in this apartment. The apartment has high ceilings and well-proportioned rooms. The bed was comfortable and the bedroom curtains kept the light out. The kitchen was well-equipped (I appreciated the coffee!) and there were spare towels. The shower worked well. I booked this at short notice. The host communicated clearly. The person who let me in to the apartment gave clear and helpful demonstrations of where things were and how to use appliances (I had no French and she no English). The apartment is on a quiet side street and has a little balcony facing the street. There is a nice view of greenery from the rear window. The bedroom and living room do not share a wall - perhaps good if multiple guests are staying in the apartment. I stayed out of season and the building seemed quiet. I slept well. The door to the apartment felt reassuringly sturdy. This was my first visit to Marseille so I don't know the different neighbourhoods well but the area around Palais Longchamp seemed very nice. The metro station is close by and there is a good bakery at the end of the street.

Nice apartment, with plenty of space for 4 people. Kitchen well equiped, property with balcony and well located (close to La Canabiere)
