Quaint hotel with confusing passages, lifts and staircases sporadically spread throughout the building. Actually got lost at one stage. The city's library has been preserved by the hotel and was an absolute pleasure to have coffee there specially after we had booked out. Many thanks - that was great. Room was a nice size, bathroom was fine and the fridge was a nice touch as it was a little warm outside. The huge flag was fantastic in re-finding the hotel after walking around.

Great location in a fabulous historic building. The staff were helpful, friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was very good and the secure car parking garage was just across the road. Tea and coffee available all day in the Library was a nice touch.

It has a huge amount if character, unlike chain hotels, plenty of historical interest and management that really cares! Great location as well, and fabulous breakfast
