The fine print
In Spain, if you own a place for tourists to stay, you have to keep a record of who stays there. It’s a rule that’s not widely known. This record needs to be shared with the authorities, like the Civil Guard, to ensure public safety.The traveler registration form must be filled in at check-in with the details of guests aged 16 and over. The registration form must be sent to the authorities within 24 hours of the arrival or departure of the guests. And also, the travel registrations must be registered by the host in a travel register book, which can be in physical or digital format, with a minimum of 100 pages and a maximum of 500 pages.This property will not accommodate hen, stag or similar parties.

It was spotlessly clean and extremely well equipped. Great location and very private and secure. Our first time here but we will come back. The area is a beautiful with nice restaurants close by. The most relaxing break we have had in many years. We did hire a car and did some sight seeing which was great. Hosts were very helpful and had the property in great condition for our checking in time.

Beautiful apartment with all the amenities we needed. It was spotless, the kitchen had everything we needed and the hosts left us a lovely welcome parcel with wine and basics. The rooms were a great size and really comfortable, there was loads of space for a family of four to relax and spend time together. The air-conditioning was perfect. The apartment was in a secure, gated complex so felt really safe, and it was right on the seafront so just a 5minute walk to the beach - the sunrises and sunsets were to die for! There are two pools on the complex and plenty of sun loungers, we always managed to find one no matter what time of day. The pool area was spotless and well looked after and our kids (age 9 and 11) absolutely loved it. It's really easy to drive around the apartment, more or less a straight road from Gibraltar airport and up to Marbella and beyond. There are a few supermarkets and a petrol station within a 2-minute drive. We loved our stay at Casares Del Mar, it was enough off the beaten track to have a chilled out family holiday but close and easy enough to drive to nearby attractions and find restaurants and bars.
