Amazing apartment, very generous in size. Great comfortable bed. Lovely toiletries provided. Mini bar and a few snacks should you wish to purchase. Parking across the road in underground parking.

The Opale apartment was part of a much bigger original Lyon apt (of an impressive 1800's building) and was still of reasonable size but with some disappointing shortcomings. There are period wood carvings on the internal doors, most of which had been retained and reflected its past heritage. We considered it was well located for the metro and the Tourist Office together with a couple of small supermarkets (Monop & Franprix) and various restaurants adjacent to Monop. The bed was a good size and the two armchairs were reasonably comfortable though a little low. The floor was old fashioned parquetry and very squeaky but in keeping with its era. The bathroom had been extensively renovated with pale grey tiles throughout and a spacious shower. The flooring in the bathroom/entry was original mosaic tiles and, in some places, had not been properly cared for. Personally, we thought the owners should have replaced this flooring in keeping with the other costly tiling reno but maybe there is a heritage restriction applying?
