I had booked a double room with ensuite which was immaculate, plenty of space to move around plus a big walk-in shower all spotless clean. Although I hadn't booked a table for an evening meal the staff found me a perfect spot in the beer garden, which I soon worked out was full of locals which is always a good sign. I selected a meal from the specials board (which offered an impressive range of food) that arrived soon after and although I didn't think it was a 'gastropub' I thought it was exceptionally good. The 'Full Monkey' for breakfast is also worth trying.

Great spot, easy parking and lovely staff. All very helpful. Room was bijou but everything you need. Beer was great. Didn’t try the food as they had a quiz night (well attended) Breakfast was freshly cooked

The quirkiness of the property. The micro brewery on site which is interesting. Food was excellent and the beer is a bit of alright too ! Spotlessly clean and great staff, hard working and very friendly.
