When the Tioga Road is closed, it is not possible to drive to Tuolumne Meadows or enter Yosemite National Park from the east. All other park entrances, including those along Highway 120 from the west, Hetch Hetchy, Highway 140, and Highway 41, remain open all year.Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. An acceptable low budget motel in an isolated part of the country. Relatively expensive for this type of motel, but as good as it gets in this location. An older property with an interesting facade, but had the necessary facilities and our stay in Lone Pine was comfortable as a result. A short walk to the main town area.

Our family room was basic but clean accommodation with on site parking, laundry facilities and a pool, and walking distance to a shop, cafes and restaurants - perfect for an overnight stay on our road trip.
