The fine print
When booking 5 rooms or more, different policies and additional supplements will apply. Bookings made with a breakfast package include a Continental buffet: croissants and rolls with preserves, sweet pastries, cereals, cheese, ham, fruit, tea, coffee, fruit juice. Take-away box available on request.The Columbia Hotel is a non smoking establishment and respectfully ask guests to adhere to this policy. If a room has been smoked in, it shall be necessary to apply a charge of GBP 150.00 to the room account to cover additional costs such as deep cleaning and the necessity of having to put the room off for the following days guest arriving.Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.

Staff friendly, location is superb, located opposite Hyde Park and a a very short walk to Kensington Palace. Ten minute walk to Paddington Station and beside two tube stations and bus stop. The hotel is only a few stops on the tube to Westfield Shopping Centre and Oxford Street. The building is beautiful and has so much charm.

Our room was fine but dated, the fan supplied was a boon as the weather was hot & humid. We are used to creaky floors but anyone underneath may have found it noisy. Breakfast was good but some salad veggies would have added to the continental selection. Tomatoes/cucumber/gherkins etc. just add that extra texture & flavour. Selection of pastries was good though the size is overlarge. Experience elsewhere is smaller reduces waste and doesn't over face. You can always have two if they are half the size. Coffee machine was efficient and easy to use. I do like a good cup of tea & my sister likes good coffee. The bar was good especially happy hour and the staff remembered our choice after the 1st night. Staff from reception to catering were very helpful and cheerful which makes us feel welcomed.

The place is perfectly located, in front of Hyde Park, nearby Lancaster gate and buses stops. The beds were very very comfy, we've really enjoyed our stay. The staff was lovely. We'll probably come back here for our next visit.

Great location and only 5min walk to Lancaster Gate train station & about 12min walk to Paddington Station.
