Location location location… if, like me, you have a crack of dawn Eurostar to catch then you can’t do much better than the Fairway hotel, which is is no more than five minutes walk away from check-in. Also, despite being in the heart of the Kings Cross area the street was relatively quiet at night, and arriving late and departing early it didn’t feel unsafe. The room was also acceptable. It was small, as I expected, but the bed was comfortable and the bathroom adequately equipped. Also, whilst there was no air-conditioning, I was able to open the window sufficiently to get a breeze going. On arrival at the hotel the person at reception was friendly and helpful, and leaving at the end of my short stay was also straightforward. Overall, for a cheap bed close to Eurostar it did the trick for me.

Straight over the road from train station Stayed previously when staying in London for the marathon Dropped bag luggage off in morning Hotel management fantastic Went bk in the evening after being at Wimbledon Same manager on Friendly helpful Carried my case The most comfy bed and pillows Fan in room Refreshments Free toiletries And a chain for extra security on the door

The location near St Pancras was perfect as we had an early train to catch. The beds were basic but comfortable.
