Lots of special touches (complimentary sparkling wine, free pastries, a decanter of port in the room). Amazing location: right next to the castle. Fantastic patio courtyards to relax in.

The location was great to get around OLD TOWN on foot, to travel into Lisbon city and local restaurants. Bespoke in style with courteous, friendly and easy going hospitality… the breakfast were plentiful, the hotel and our room was clean and well looked after… We appreciated the nice touches from complimentary “bubbles”, to pastries, coffee and Porto in the room… and the odd Peacock. Thank you !

Solar do Castelo is a beautiful hotel hidden away in a quiet street beside the castle. We loved the tasteful decor, the excellent friendly service, the leisurely breakfasts and the relaxed atmosphere that was welcome after touring the city each day.
