Very nice apartment in a great location. Clean and comfortable. Quiet street. Close to all the best fado places. Public transportation is near. Supermarket 5 minutes. We walked everywhere. Enjoyed it very much.

Cute little flat, very clean and modern, right in the heart of Alfama. Very easy to walk everywhere, if you don't mind hills, but also easy to walk down to flatter parts. 5 mins from santa apolonia train station too.

Perfect location, really in the heart of Alfama as the title says. The apartment was nice and cozy, with lots of windows for light and ventilation. We could leave the windows to the street open during the night without any problems with the outside noise, as the bedroom is secluded and facing the yard. If you require total silence for sleep, the windows when shut cut off any sounds coming from outside, we left them open. The shutters on them can be opened independently to let the light in, which is a nice touch. There is no air conditioning, but we didn't need it, even in mid-july, the Lisbon fresh breeze is more than enough, sometimes even chilly in the morning; just leave the windows on opposite sides of the appartment open during the night - the drapes from ceiling to the floor on all windows and doors in the living area will keep the light and mosquitoes out while letting the air in. The kitchen is a bit small but well equipped. We didn't use the dining area but it can be handy if you are staying longer. The doors feel safe and the lock is electronic with a pasword, so you don't have to carry the keys around.
