Fantastic location, central and just across road from Lille Flanders and a short walk to Lille Europe stations. Staff were lovely and room (613) was spotless with a small balcony which was nice to.sit on.

If I were reviewing nothing more than the room, then this review might not be all that positive. Basic and OK, albeit with a somewhat depressing view to the rear of the building into a sort of large brick well. I’m not sure whether a room at the front would be better. At the very least the room was quiet at night. And it had everything we needed; at a very reasonable price. All this pales into insignificance in the light of breakfast, taken on the seventh floor terrace, with magnificent views across Lille-Flandres station and the surrounding squares. Added to which it was a good and simple breakfast, which we would probably have enjoyed regardless – even without the view. Staff, on both reception and at breakfast, were lovely. Worth noting that, in terms of transport, access to Lille-Flandres is a hop and a skip. Access to Lille-Europe, particularly on a hot afternoon – laden with luggage – is slightly more of a challenge. It’s not all that far, but the route is very exposed. Driving rain wouldn’t be much fun either! On the other hand there are buses, which might well be worth investigating.

Excellent location, friendly staff and the Hotel is very clean and neat. A bonus is the kettel in the room. Perfectly situated for watching the Tour de France, and located right opposite the train station.

Excellent attention from staff, room clean and comfortable. We had stayed the previous week and were welcomed back like old friends.
