Elena, the young proprietor, has created more than four vacation apartments here. She's composed a jewel that fits so naturally into the landscape, you'd swear it had always been there. The building breathes that effortless elegance only Italian design achieves—contemporary yet timeless, familiar yet sophisticated enough to enchant the most discerning architectural publications. We dove straight into the infinity pool—crystalline and so impeccably maintained you can feel the care invested in every molecule of water. From here, a panorama unfolds that transforms each terrace into a box seat at nature's theater: birdsong mingles with gentle breezes through the trees, while the air carries the scent of what can only be described as an Italian gardener's paradise. Sunrise over Lake Maggiore from the dining table? Pure neurochemical bliss. The first light caresses your consciousness and grounds you instantly in the present. You smile involuntarily—a reflex triggered only by places this special. But La Masarana's true secret is Elena herself. Before we'd even arrived, she was feeding us insider tips via WhatsApp. For our first evening, she'd prepared everything needed for the perfect start. Super clean and very well planned and executed building, nice terrace with beautiful lake view. Well-equipped kitchen and bathroom. Hiking and especially cycling starts directly behind the house. Very good supermarket in the village. Excellent restaurant recommendations by the host in the nearby city of Arona. Very relaxing atmosphere, especially off-season.
